live throughout the year, so that everyone will be able to find useful information
on museums not only during Museums Week but on every day of the year. Wherever
you live, whatever your interests, there’s something exciting for you and
your family in the United Kingdom’s museums and galleries.
Museums instruct and amuse, educate and entertain: how will they fulfill these roles in the face of swiftly changing technology and ever increasing competition from other attractions like theme parks? Visiting museums is one of Britain’s most popular leisure activities today but will it be as popular even ten years from now? How can we make today’s museum fit for the future?
